Keeping your pet safe is our number one priority
We believe cats are more relaxed and more comfortable when they're able to move around and enjoy a home-from-home environment while you're away. This is why we offer a free-roam boarding, where cats are free to move around as they please, and can interact with each other.
Most cats thrive in this setting and are less territorial than at home - quickly becoming comfortable around one another. However, as with any group environment, there are some natural risks to be aware of. And while we do everything possible to keep cat guests calm and safe, including careful introductions, close supervision, and separate sleeping areas - cats are cats, and the occasional scuffle can happen.

Our goal is to be transparent. Therefore, by choosing Whisker Ridge, pet parents acknowledge and understand that:

-
It is the owner’s responsibility to know their cat’s temperament and decide whether a free-roam environment is the right fit for them.

-
We have great success with the free-roam set up, but can’t guarantee that all cats will always get along. In the instance that any of our guests struggle around others, we can make arrangements so that cats are kept separate while still all able to enjoy the indoor and outdoor areas.

-
Some stress is possible, given that your cat will be spending time outside of their familiar home environment. In our experience, cats usually settle in within 3 days.

-
If your cat requires veterinary care during their stay, we will make every effort to contact you first. In the event of an emergency or if you cannot be reached, we are authorized to seek necessary veterinary treatment to ensure your cat’s health and safety. Any veterinary expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.

-
All pet parents will be asked to sign a waiver before their cat’s first stay to confirm understanding of these policies.
